Installation Instructions
|
|
|
|
-
By
dropping plumb points, chalk line "A" on floor
directly below and parallel to lathe spindle.
-
Drop
plumb line from spindle at Center Line of
widest wheel to be used. ("B")
-
From
this point measure in toward lathe 5-3/4" ("C")
-
At
this point, at right angles to line paralleling
spindle, chalk a line. ("D")
-
Measure
back along line "D" mounting distance
as obtained from Table 1 and drill for 3/8" bolt. For
installations using belts less than 118" long,
mount idler so its base is parallel to belt.
-
Fasten
idler at front bolt hole. Install wheel and belt. Apply light
tension. Set idler shaft parallel to lathe spindle.
-
Drill
rear bolt holes in center of slots, and install bolts.
-
With
idler pulley in the neutral position (i.e. equal amount of spindle
threads exposed on each side of arm), belt and wheel installed,
jog motor and pivot idler slightly about front bolt until belt
rides in exact center of pulley, then tighten all bolts.
-
Tighten
shaft wing stud on top of arm.
