Model 810 Backstand Idler

The simplicity and ruggedness of this idler design incorporates all the essential elements of a heavy duty backstand idler.
Tension will range from 5 pounds to 200 pounds and is applicable anywhere in the arc of takeup. A 6" change in wheel diameter, including allowance for belt stretch, is possible, without moving the base.
The pulley is of diecast aluminum with cast urethane cover. Bearings are sealed and lubricated for life. Pulley is designed for maximum belt speed of 10,000 S.F.P.M.
Quick spring release affords fast belt changing.

The lateral tracking adjustment assures positive alignment at all times and maintains equal tension on both sides of the abrasive belt.

For convenience the tracking adjustment crank may be installed on either end of the pulley shaft. The pulley and shaft unit may be quickly reversed for operation on either side of the lathe.
